MSI Surfaces Laurel Vinyl Plank Flooring
Waterproof, hard-wearing, and warmer underfoot than tile: that combination is why vinyl ends up in so many Toronto kitchens and finished basements.
In simple terms: MSI Surfaces Laurel is luxury vinyl plank, a wood-look floor that is 100% waterproof and built to take real-life traffic. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.
Here is what matters on this one. The plank is rigid-core, which keeps it flat and dimensionally stable over subfloors that are not perfectly level, and it clicks together as a floating floor with no adhesive. The 20 mil wear layer puts it in heavy-residential, light-commercial territory, which is where vinyl earns its keep in a family home. With vinyl, the mil rating tells you more about longevity than the overall thickness does. It is 100% waterproof top to bottom, not merely water-resistant, so kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, and entries are all fair game. It carries an IIC rating around 26 and an STC around 72 plus an attached acoustic pad, so it clears the sound-transfer rules most GTA condo boards set, a common sticking point in high-rises. Planks run up to 9 inches wide and 48 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. Micro-bevelled edges define each plank for a more authentic look. It is also FloorScore certified for indoor air quality and GREENGUARD certified. It is backed by a Lifetime residential and 10-Year commercial warranty. Colours in the range include Selbourne, Tranquilla, Fallonton, Coastal Cottage, and Palmilla.
Decision line: Laurel is a practical, waterproof floor for the rooms where wood and laminate struggle, kitchens, baths, basements, and entries.
Installation is in-house and never subcontracted, across the Toronto and Mississauga area up to Barrie and Simcoe County. We check the subfloor, prep it, and set the floor, then handle the trim. Browse our projects or the vinyl installation page.
We keep Laurel at both stores, where the texture and colour read properly. Contact us for stock, or start from our Toronto and Mississauga vinyl pages. Our is flooring waterproof guide explains what waterproof actually covers.
