Twelve Oaks Flooring Excellence Water-Resistant Laminate

Twelve Oaks Flooring Excellence is a 12mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate, with a water-resistant core for the spills, pets, and wet boots that come with kitchens, baths, and entries. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Spills, wet boots, and pet bowls are where ordinary laminate gives up, right at the seams.

In simple terms: Twelve Oaks Flooring Excellence is a 12mm AC4 rated water-resistant laminate. It is meant for the rooms where water is part of daily life, and our own crew installs it.

The Excellence range is built around an embossed-in-register wood-grain surface. The range includes tones such as Limewash, Woven Willows, Aster, Paloma, and Bedrock.

The construction backs up the look. Excellence runs a 12mm board on the thicker end of the range, which gives a solid, quiet step and bridges minor subfloor irregularities better than thin planks. It carries an AC4 wear rating, a step above standard that holds up to busy family households, hallways, and main floors. The core is high-density fibreboard, which resists denting and holds the locking profile better than the cheaper particleboard in budget laminate. The surface is embossed in register, so the texture lines up with the printed grain and the floor reads and feels like real wood rather than a flat photo. It installs with a Valinge angle-and-drop click system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It has a water-resistant core, which lets it handle the spills and humidity that would swell a standard laminate at the joints. It is backed by a Lifetime residential and 12-year light commercial warranty. Because of that core, Excellence holds up in the rooms that sink a standard laminate: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries.

Decision line: choose Excellence for any room that meets water, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; for dry bedrooms and living rooms, a standard laminate will also do the job for less.

Installation is in-house across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, with no subcontractors. A floating floor needs a flat, dry base, so subfloor prep and underlayment are where we spend the time. See the laminate installation page.

Laminate looks very different in a full plank under room light than in a small photo, so it is worth seeing Excellence in person. We keep it at both showrooms; contact us to confirm stock, or browse the full water-resistant laminate range.
