Ceratec Slaty Ochre Matte Porcelain Tile 12" x 24"

Natural stone needs sealing and every batch looks different. Slaty Ochre gives you a stone look in porcelain that stays consistent.

In simple terms: Slaty Ochre is a 12x24 stone look porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Ochre from the Ceratec Slaty range.

The actual size is 11.8" x 23.8" (300 x 606 mm). It is 9.8 mm thick. The body is coloured to match the surface, so a chip shows less than it would on a white-body tile. The spec sheet lists PEI V surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading above 0.42, an R10 slip rating and water absorption below 0.5%. It is rated for heavy commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V4, dramatic. It is made in Italy. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits open-plan floors, living areas, basements, shower and bathroom walls, covered porches and patios and commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over real stone when you want the look with no sealing.

Each box holds 6 pieces and covers 11.63 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 13 boxes, or 15 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 10 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside. At V4 the shade moves a lot from piece to piece, so we blend from several boxes as we lay it.

In this size, Slaty also comes in Almond and Multicolor. Ochre also comes in 12" x 12", 3" x 6" and 2" x 2". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.
