Ceratec Precious Dark Grey Matte Glass Mosaic 1" x 1"

Matte glass gives a backsplash or a niche the depth of glass without the shine, and it wipes clean.

In simple terms: Precious Dark Grey is a 1x1 glass mosaic for floors and walls, indoors.

It is the matte finish in Dark Grey from the Ceratec Precious range.

Each sheet measures 11.3" x 11.5", with 1" x 1" pieces. It is 6 mm thick. The spec sheet lists PEI III surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading above 0.42 and water absorption of 0%. It is rated for light commercial traffic. Shade variation is V1, uniform. It is designed by Ceratec in Canada and made in China. Matte glass has a soft, even face and wipes clean. This one is listed for floors as well as walls, so it can take light foot traffic.

It suits shower floors, bathroom floors, backsplashes and accent strips in a shower. Pick it over a larger tile wherever the floor has to slope or the wall needs a detail.

Each sheet covers 0.9 sq ft, so a 40 sq ft bathroom floor takes 45 sheets, or 49 sheets with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. It is sold by the sheet, and a box holds 11 sheets. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 122 sheets with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for indoor use only, so keep it off porches, patios and exterior walls. It is rated for light commercial traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

In this size, Precious also comes in Anthracite, Grey, Sand and White. For edges, Ceratec recommends a 5/16" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Precious Dark Grey in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
