Why Matera Stands Out

A shower floor has to slope to the drain. Small pieces on a mesh sheet are what let the tile follow that slope, and the extra grout lines give your feet more grip.

In simple terms: Ceratec Matera is porcelain for floors and walls, in mosaics.

Choose Ceratec Matera for kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, walls and commercial floors. Skip it for stairs, ramps and pool decks unless we confirm a slip rating for your job first.

Each product page lists the exact size, finish, thickness, slip and wear ratings, and box coverage for that item, so check it there before you order.

Our own installation crews fit what we sell, residential and commercial, across Toronto, Mississauga, Barrie and Simcoe County. No subcontractors, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it.

Bring your measurements and a photo of the room to either store. Call our Mississauga showroom at 905-277-2227 or our Barrie showroom at 705-726-2272.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Ceratec Matera?
Ceratec Matera is porcelain, in a matte finish, as mosaics. It suits kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, walls and commercial floors. You can see it at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4) and our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4).
Where can Matera be used?
Porcelain is fired dense, so floors, walls and wet areas are all in play, including showers and entries. Match the finish to the room: polished surfaces are slick when wet, matte and textured finishes grip better.
Do you install Matera?
Yes, with our own employed installation crews rather than subcontractors, for residential and commercial projects. Tile work is quoted with preparation, waterproofing where needed, and grout included, so the number you get is the whole job.
Where can I see Matera near me?
You can see it at both Squarefoot Flooring stores, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. A full sample under room light reads very differently from a photo, so come compare it in person before deciding.
