Ceratec Plum Statuario Glossy Glass Mosaic 1" x 3"

Glass mosaic catches light in a way flat tile cannot, which is why it ends up on backsplashes, niches and shower feature walls.

In simple terms: Plum Statuario is a 1x3 marble look glass mosaic for dry floors and walls, indoors.

It is the glossy finish in Statuario from the Ceratec Plum range.

Each sheet measures 9.8" x 11", with 1" x 3" pieces. It is 8 mm thick. The spec sheet lists PEI IV surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading below 0.42 and water absorption of 0%. It is rated for light commercial traffic. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is designed by Ceratec in Canada and made in China. Glass reflects light and wipes clean. This one is listed for floors as well as walls, so it can take light foot traffic.

It suits backsplashes, feature walls and shower walls. Pick it as the feature, and run a plain field tile around it.

Each sheet covers 0.75 sq ft, so a 30 sq ft kitchen backsplash takes 41 sheets, or 45 sheets with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. It is sold by the sheet, and a box holds 10 sheets. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 147 sheets with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for indoor use only, so keep it off porches, patios and exterior walls. On a floor, keep the glossy face out of showers and away from entry doors where wet boots come in, because it gets slick when wet. It is rated for light commercial traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

For edges, Ceratec recommends a 3/8" trim profile.
