Ceratec Perlas Arabescato Gold Matte Glass Mosaic 1" x 1"

Matte glass gives a backsplash or a niche the depth of glass without the shine, and it wipes clean.

In simple terms: Perlas Arabescato Gold is a 1x1 glass mosaic for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Arabescato Gold from the Ceratec Perlas range.

Each sheet measures 11.2" x 11.3", with 1" x 1" pieces. It is 5.5 mm thick. The spec sheet lists a wet DCOF slip reading above 0.42, an R11 slip rating and water absorption of 0%. It is rated for residential use. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V3, moderate. It is made in Spain. Matte glass has a soft, even face and wipes clean. This one is listed for floors as well as walls, so it can take light foot traffic.

It suits shower floors, bathroom floors, backsplashes and accent strips in a shower. Pick it over a larger tile wherever the floor has to slope or the wall needs a detail.

Each sheet covers 0.88 sq ft, so a 40 sq ft bathroom floor takes 46 sheets, or 50 sheets with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. It is sold by the sheet, and a box holds 12 sheets. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 125 sheets with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside. It is rated for residential use, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

In this size, Perlas also comes in Abuhna and Yada. For edges, Ceratec recommends a 5/16" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Perlas Arabescato Gold in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
