Ceratec Multiforme Oceano Volta Matte Ceramic Mosaic 12" x 15"

A mosaic is the easiest way to give a backsplash, a niche or a shower wall some detail without changing the whole room.

In simple terms: Multiforme Oceano Volta is a 12x15 ceramic mosaic for walls only, such as backsplashes, feature walls and shower walls.

It is the matte finish in Oceano Volta from the Ceratec Multiforme range.

Each sheet measures 12.5" x 15". It is 8.5 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The spec sheet lists water absorption above 10%. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is made in Italy. Ceramic has a lighter, softer body than porcelain, which makes it easy to cut and set, and it is mostly used on walls.

It suits kitchen backsplashes, feature walls, bathroom and shower walls and tub surrounds. Pick it as the feature, and run a plain field tile around it.

Each sheet covers 1.3 sq ft, so a 30 sq ft kitchen backsplash takes 24 sheets, or 26 sheets with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. It is sold by the sheet, and a box holds 5 sheets. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 85 sheets with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for walls only, so do not put it on a floor, including a shower floor. It is listed for indoor use, so keep it off exterior walls.

In this size, Multiforme also comes in Artico Volta and Salvia Volta. For edges, Ceratec recommends a 3/8" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Multiforme Oceano Volta in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
