Ceratec Forme Bianco Assoluto Matte Porcelain Hexagon Tile 7" x 8"

A plain, solid-colour tile is the safe base for a room, since it works with any cabinet, vanity or wall colour. Forme Bianco Assoluto Hexagon is that kind of tile.

In simple terms: Forme Bianco Assoluto Hexagon is a 7x8 porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Bianco Assoluto from the Ceratec Forme range. The pattern or piece type is hexagon.

The actual size is 7.2" x 8.3" (182 x 210 mm). It is 9.5 mm thick. The spec sheet lists PEI V surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading of 0.65, an R10 slip rating and water absorption of 0.07%. It is rated for heavy commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V4, dramatic. It is made in Italy. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits kitchen floors, bathroom floors, hallways, basements, shower and bathroom walls, covered porches and patios and commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it when you want the floor or wall to sit quietly behind the cabinets and fixtures.

Each box holds 16 pieces and covers 4.94 sq ft, so a 40 sq ft bathroom floor takes 9 boxes, and that still leaves about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 23 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside. At V4 the shade moves a lot from piece to piece, so we blend from several boxes as we lay it.

In this size, Forme also comes in Antracite, Avorio, Cenere, Rosato and Terracotta. Bianco Assoluto also comes in 8" x 8" and 3" x 8". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Forme Bianco Assoluto Hexagon in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
