Ceratec Caliza Gesso Matte Porcelain Tile 13" x 13"

Natural stone needs sealing and every batch looks different. Caliza Gesso gives you a stone look in porcelain that stays consistent.

In simple terms: Caliza Gesso is a 13x13 stone look porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Gesso from the Ceratec Caliza range.

The actual size is 13" x 13" (330 x 330 mm). It is 7.5 mm thick. The spec sheet lists PEI IV surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading of 0.55, an R9 slip rating and water absorption of 0.3%. It is rated for commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is designed by Ceratec in Canada and made in Turkey. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits kitchen floors, bathroom floors, hallways, basements, shower and bathroom walls, covered porches and patios and commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over real stone when you want the look with no sealing.

Each box holds 13 pieces and covers 15.26 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside.

In this size, Caliza also comes in Fossile, Grafite and Sabbia. Gesso also comes in 12" x 24" and 24" x 24". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 3/8" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Caliza Gesso in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
