Ceratec Barolo Calacatta Gold Matte Glass Elongated Hexagon Mosaic 2" x 6"

Matte glass gives a backsplash or a niche the depth of glass without the shine, and it wipes clean.

In simple terms: Barolo Calacatta Gold Elongated Hexagon is a 2x6 marble look glass elongated hexagon mosaic for walls only, such as backsplashes, feature walls and shower walls.

It is the matte finish in Calacatta Gold from the Ceratec Barolo range.

Each sheet measures 10.5" x 12.1", with 2" x 6" pieces. It is 6 mm thick. The spec sheet lists water absorption below 0.5%. Shade variation is V3, moderate. It is designed by Ceratec in Canada and made in China. Matte glass has a soft, even face and wipes clean, and it belongs on walls where it does not take foot traffic.

It suits kitchen backsplashes, feature walls, bathroom and shower walls and tub surrounds. Pick it as the feature, and run a plain field tile around it.

Each sheet covers 0.93 sq ft, so a 30 sq ft kitchen backsplash takes 33 sheets, or 36 sheets with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. It is sold by the sheet, and a box holds 12 sheets. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 119 sheets with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for walls only, so do not put it on a floor, including a shower floor. It is listed for indoor use, so keep it off exterior walls.

In this size, Barolo also comes in Onice Bianco. Calacatta Gold also comes in 1" x 4". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 5/16" trim profile.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Ceratec Barolo Calacatta Gold Elongated Hexagon in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
