Ceratec Aspen Mink Matte Porcelain Plank Tile 8" x 48"

Hardwood does not belong in a wet bathroom or a damp basement. Aspen Mink gives you the wood look in porcelain that can go there.

In simple terms: Aspen Mink is an 8x48 wood look porcelain plank tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Mink from the Ceratec Aspen range.

The actual size is 7.75" x 47" (206 x 1207 mm). It is 10 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The spec sheet lists PEI IV surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading above 0.42, an R10 slip rating and water absorption below 0.5%. It is rated for commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V3, moderate. It is designed by Ceratec in Canada and made in Turkey. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits basements, kitchens and bathrooms where hardwood would not stand up to water, open-plan floors, living areas, shower and bathroom walls, covered porches and patios and commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over hardwood or laminate anywhere the floor can get wet.

Each box holds 4 pieces and covers 10.14 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 15 boxes, or 17 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 11 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside.

In this size, Aspen also comes in Greige and Grey. For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.
