Ceratec Alchemy Dark Matte Porcelain Tile 12" x 24"

Large tile means fewer grout lines to scrub, and a room reads bigger with them. Alchemy Dark gives you that in 12" x 24".

In simple terms: Alchemy Dark is a 12x24 porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors and out.

It is the matte finish in Dark from the Ceratec Alchemy range.

The actual size is 11.7" x 23.5" (298 x 597 mm). It is 9 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The spec sheet lists PEI III surface abrasion rating, a wet DCOF slip reading of 0.54, an R10 slip rating and water absorption of 0.1%. It is rated for light commercial traffic. It is frost resistant. Shade variation is V2, slight. It is made in Italy. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself never needs sealing.

It suits open-plan floors, living areas, basements, shower and bathroom walls and covered porches and patios. Pick it over a smaller tile when you want fewer grout lines; pick smaller if the floor is out of level.

Each box holds 6 pieces and covers 11.46 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 14 boxes, or 15 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 10 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but an outdoor floor also needs the right base and slope, so ask us before planning it outside. It is rated for light commercial traffic, so keep it out of busy commercial floors.

In this size, Alchemy also comes in Beige, Grey and White. Dark also comes in 24" x 24". For edges, Ceratec recommends a 1/2" trim profile.
