1867 Floors Artureon Norma Water-Resistant Laminate
Most laminate fails at the joints, not the surface, and it fails first in the rooms that see water.
In simple terms: 1867 Floors Artureon Norma is an 8mm AC5 rated water-resistant laminate, a floor built to take water in the rooms where that matters. Squarefoot Flooring carries it, and our own crew installs it.
The Artureon Norma range is built around an embossed-in-register wood-grain surface. The range includes tones such as Oak Desentis, Oak Chur, Oak Realp, and Oak Sedrun.
The construction backs up the look. Artureon Norma runs an 8mm board, the standard residential thickness, stable underfoot and compatible with most existing subfloors. It carries an AC5 wear rating, the level specified for light commercial use, so it shrugs off heavy household traffic, rentals, and high-use entries. The surface is embossed in register, so the texture lines up with the printed grain and the floor reads and feels like real wood rather than a flat photo. It installs with a click-lock system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. Made in Switzerland, a European source known for tight manufacturing tolerances. It is rated for 100 hours of surface water protection, which in practice means a spill, a melting ice cube, or a wet boot will not swell the seams as long as it is wiped up in good time. It is approved for use over in-floor heating, a common request in Toronto condos and Barrie homes. It is also pet friendly. It is backed by a 25.0 residential and 5.0 commercial warranty. That construction is what lets Artureon Norma go where ordinary laminate cannot: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries, and anywhere a spill or wet boot is part of daily life.
Decision line: Artureon Norma is the pick wherever water is a factor, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; keep a standard laminate for the dry rooms to save.
Our own in-house team installs 1867 Floors Artureon Norma across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted. Because it works over in-floor heating, it pairs well with the heating membranes we stock. A floating laminate is only as good as the floor under it, so we level the subfloor, set the right underlayment, and finish the trim. See our laminate installation page.
A photo flattens the texture, so see Artureon Norma in person before deciding. It is at both showrooms, you can contact us for current stock, and the vinyl vs laminate guide helps if you are still choosing a material.
