Why Artfloor River Stands Out

In a busy kitchen or entry, the question is not whether water hits the floor but whether the floor can take it.

In simple terms: Artfloor River is a 12mm AC5 rated water-resistant laminate, waterproof enough for kitchens, baths, and entries. We carry it and install it in-house.

Because of that core, Artfloor River holds up in the rooms that sink a standard laminate: kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries. The range includes tones such as Samyeli, Merida, Danube Oak, Muson, and Authentic Oak.

The build behind that: Artfloor River runs a 12mm board on the thicker end of the range, which gives a solid, quiet step and bridges minor subfloor irregularities better than thin planks. It carries an AC5 wear rating, the level specified for light commercial use, so it shrugs off heavy household traffic, rentals, and high-use entries. It installs with a click-lock system, a glue-free floating install that keeps labour costs down and lets the floor be lifted and reused later. It is rated for 72 hours of surface water protection, which in practice means a spill, a melting ice cube, or a wet boot will not swell the seams as long as it is wiped up in good time. It is also scratch resistant, stain resistant, and dent resistant. It is backed by a 25-year residential and 15-year commercial warranty.

Decision line: choose Artfloor River for any room that meets water, kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries; for dry bedrooms and living rooms, a standard laminate will also do the job for less.

We install Artfloor River with our own crew, never subcontracted, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County. Most laminate problems trace back to the subfloor, so we level it, underlay it correctly, and finish the transitions. More on the laminate installation page.

We keep Artfloor River at both stores so you can judge it under room light. contact us about availability, or browse the full water-resistant laminate range for more options.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Artfloor River?
Artfloor River is a 12mm AC5 rated water-resistant laminate. It is built to handle water in kitchens, baths, and entries, where standard laminate tends to fail at the seams. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Is Artfloor River actually waterproof?
Artfloor River is rated for 72 hours of surface water protection, which in practice means a spill, a melting ice cube, or a wet boot will not swell the seams as long as it is wiped up in good time. Standing water left for long stretches should still be wiped up, but everyday spills, pet bowls, and wet boots will not swell the seams the way they do on ordinary laminate.
Which rooms is Artfloor River suitable for?
An ac5 wear rating. In practice that covers main floors, hallways, living rooms, and busy family spaces, and its water-resistant core adds kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, and entries.
What warranty does Artfloor River carry?
Artfloor River is backed by a 25-year residential and 15-year commercial warranty. Terms vary with the application, and we will confirm the coverage for your specific use before you order.
Where can I see Artfloor River near me?
You can see Artfloor River at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. A full plank under room light reads very differently from a photo, so we recommend seeing a sample before deciding.
