Why Sumptuous I Stands Out

Carpet is the one floor you feel before you see it, and broadloom is still the softest, warmest way to cover a bedroom or a whole lower level.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Sumptuous I is roll carpet for wall-to-wall installation, the soft, quiet, warm floor for the rooms where comfort matters most. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it with its own team.

Here is what matters with this one. This is a textured cut pile, where each yarn is twisted to break up the surface, so it disguises footprints and traffic far better than a smooth plush. That makes it the workhorse choice for living rooms, bedrooms, and family spaces. The fiber is nylon, the most resilient carpet fiber there is: it springs back from foot traffic instead of matting down, takes cleaning well, and holds up on stairs and in busy rooms better than any other fiber. It is built on a LifeGuard waterproof backing, a moisture barrier that keeps spills and pet accidents from reaching the pad and subfloor underneath, which makes carpet far more forgiving in a real household. Its 57 oz per square yard face weight is solid residential density, a good balance of feel and value. The 12-foot roll width means fewer seams across a room, and we place the ones you do need where they show least. It is manufactured in the USA. Colours in the range include Breton, Cliff, Cream Tea, Cricket Club, Earthen, and First Star.

Good fits are bedrooms, living rooms, basements, home offices, and especially stairs, where carpet adds grip and hushes footsteps. It is warm and sound-absorbing, the opposite of a hard floor. The exception is wet rooms, where a waterproof hard surface is the better call.

Most broadloom installs by the stretch-in method, and the cushion underneath matters as much as the carpet. Our own crew, employees rather than subcontractors, tacks down perimeter strips, lays a quality carpet underpad, then power-stretches the carpet tight and heat-seams any joins so they disappear. A properly stretched floor over the right pad is what keeps carpet looking good and feeling soft for years. Browse our projects to see our work.

Decision line: Sumptuous I is built for real use, the carpet to choose for stairs, family rooms, and high-traffic areas that still need to feel soft.

We keep Sumptuous I at both stores, where you can feel the pile and judge the colour properly. Contact us for stock, see how it works on stairs, or for offices and retail ask about our commercial flooring work. See the wider Anderson Tuftex range too.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Anderson Tuftex Sumptuous I?
Anderson Tuftex Sumptuous I is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind on a 12-foot roll, in a textured cut pile style built on nylon. It is stretched in over a separate underpad. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Where is Sumptuous I best used?
Sumptuous I suits bedrooms, living and family rooms, stairs, hallways, and finished basements, where warmth, softness, and sound control matter. Its nylon fiber handles stairs and high-traffic areas well. Carpet should not go in wet rooms like bathrooms or laundry rooms.
How is Sumptuous I installed?
Sumptuous I is installed by the stretch-in method over a separate cushion. Our crew tacks perimeter strips, lays the underpad, power-stretches the carpet so it stays taut, and heat-seams any joins flat. The quality of the underpad and the stretch is what keeps carpet looking and feeling good over time.
Does Sumptuous I protect against spills?
Yes. Sumptuous I is built on a LifeGuard waterproof backing, a moisture barrier that stops spills and pet accidents from soaking through to the cushion and subfloor, so messes stay on the surface where they can be cleaned. It does not make the carpet suitable for a bathroom, but it makes everyday spills far more forgiving.
Where can I see Sumptuous I near me?
You can see Anderson Tuftex Sumptuous I at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. Carpet reads differently across a full floor, so we recommend seeing a sample first.
