Anderson Tuftex Stroll Broadloom Carpet
Carpet is the one floor you feel before you see it, and broadloom is still the softest, warmest way to cover a bedroom or a whole lower level.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Stroll is roll carpet for wall-to-wall installation, the soft, quiet, warm floor for the rooms where comfort matters most. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it with its own team.
Think bedrooms, family rooms, home theatres, stairs, and lower levels: anywhere you want a soft, warm, quiet floor. Carpet also absorbs sound between rooms and floors, which helps in condos and busy households. Keep it out of bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms where moisture is a constant.
The detail behind that: It is a loop carpet, where the yarns stay looped rather than cut. Loops wear hard and hide dirt well, which is why this style holds up in hallways, stairs, and busy rooms. One honest caution: pet claws can catch a loop, so it is less ideal in homes with cats or dogs that scratch. This one runs on nylon, the fiber to choose when durability matters. Nylon stands up to traffic and repeated cleaning better than polyester, making it a sound pick for stairs and main living areas. Solution-dyed means colour-fast and bleach-cleanable without harming the shade. The Softbac backing is lighter and more flexible than a conventional hard backing, which helps it lie flat, stretch cleanly, and stay wrinkle-free underfoot. Its 34 oz per square yard face weight is on the lighter side, a fit for bedrooms and quieter rooms. Sold on 12-foot rolls, it covers most rooms with minimal seaming, which our installers plan to fall in low-traffic spots. It is made in the USA. Colours in the range include Burnt Russet, Iced Marble, Seaport Blue, Spring Mist, Twilight Gold, and West Coast.
This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.
Decision line: Stroll is the durable, soil-hiding pick for stairs, hallways, and busy rooms; if you have pets that claw, ask us about a cut-pile alternative.
See Stroll in person before deciding, since pile and colour shift across a room and under different light. It is at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms; contact us about availability, and if it is for a lower level, our best flooring for a basement guide is worth a read.
