Anderson Tuftex Speak Anderson Tuftex Broadloom Carpet
Broadloom carpet is the wall-to-wall classic: a wide roll stretched over a cushion for a soft, near-continuous floor. Picking the right one is about matching the pile and fiber to how the room is used.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Speak Anderson Tuftex is traditional wall-to-wall carpet, installed over an underpad for comfort and sound control. It is a soft, warm choice for bedrooms, stairs, and living spaces, and we install it in-house.
Here is what matters with this one. It is a loop carpet, where the yarns stay looped rather than cut. Loops wear hard and hide dirt well, which is why this style holds up in hallways, stairs, and busy rooms. One honest caution: pet claws can catch a loop, so it is less ideal in homes with cats or dogs that scratch. This one runs on nylon, the fiber to choose when durability matters. Nylon stands up to traffic and repeated cleaning better than polyester, making it a sound pick for stairs and main living areas. Solution-dyed means colour-fast and bleach-cleanable without harming the shade. It sits on a Softbac backing, softer and more pliable than an old-style rigid backing, so it tucks neatly around a room and resists the rippling that stiffer backings can develop. At 34 to 50 oz per square yard, the face weight sits in the practical residential range, balancing comfort and cost. At 12 feet on the roll, a standard bedroom or living room seams just once or twice, kept out of the main walking paths. It is manufactured in the USA. Colours in the range include Downpour, Oxford, Monument, Russet, Sesame, and Palm Desert.
Think bedrooms, family rooms, home theatres, stairs, and lower levels: anywhere you want a soft, warm, quiet floor. Carpet also absorbs sound between rooms and floors, which helps in condos and busy households. Keep it out of bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms where moisture is a constant.
This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.
Decision line: Speak Anderson Tuftex is the durable, soil-hiding pick for stairs, hallways, and busy rooms; if you have pets that claw, ask us about a cut-pile alternative.
We keep Speak Anderson Tuftex at both showrooms, where you can feel the pile and judge the colour properly. Contact us for stock, see how it works on stairs, or for offices and retail ask about our commercial flooring work. See the wider Anderson Tuftex range too.
