Why Serendipity I Stands Out

Carpet is the one floor you feel before you see it, and broadloom is still the softest, warmest way to cover a bedroom or a whole lower level.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Serendipity I is traditional wall-to-wall carpet, installed over an underpad for comfort and sound control. It is a soft, warm choice for bedrooms, stairs, and living spaces, and we install it in-house.

The style and the build: It is a textured cut pile, the most popular style for a reason: the yarns are twisted so the surface scatters light and hides footprints, vacuum marks, and everyday traffic. It is the easy, low-fuss choice for the rooms a family actually lives in. This one runs on nylon, the fiber to choose when durability matters. Nylon stands up to traffic and repeated cleaning better than polyester, making it a sound pick for stairs and main living areas. A stable backing keeps the carpet flat and holds its shape through installation and use. At 30 oz per square yard, it is a lighter-weight carpet suited to bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms. At 12 feet on the roll, a standard bedroom or living room seams just once or twice, kept out of the main walking paths. It is USA-made. Colours in the range include Agate, Bronze Glow, Chic Cream, Cottage Stone, Dream Dust, and Dusk.

Think bedrooms, family rooms, home theatres, stairs, and lower levels: anywhere you want a soft, warm, quiet floor. Carpet also absorbs sound between rooms and floors, which helps in condos and busy households. Keep it out of bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms where moisture is a constant.

Decision line: Serendipity I is built for real use, the carpet to choose for stairs, family rooms, and high-traffic areas that still need to feel soft.

This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.

We keep Serendipity I at both stores, where you can feel the pile and judge the colour properly. Contact us for stock, see how it works on stairs, or for offices and retail ask about our commercial flooring work. The full Anderson Tuftex lineup is worth a look as well.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Anderson Tuftex Serendipity I?
Anderson Tuftex Serendipity I is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind on a 12-foot roll, in a textured cut pile style built on nylon. It is stretched in over a separate underpad. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Where is Serendipity I best used?
Serendipity I suits bedrooms, living and family rooms, stairs, hallways, and finished basements, where warmth, softness, and sound control matter. Its nylon fiber handles stairs and high-traffic areas well. Carpet should not go in wet rooms like bathrooms or laundry rooms.
How is Serendipity I installed?
Serendipity I is installed by the stretch-in method over a separate cushion. Our crew tacks perimeter strips, lays the underpad, power-stretches the carpet so it stays taut, and heat-seams any joins flat. The quality of the underpad and the stretch is what keeps carpet looking and feeling good over time.
Is Serendipity I good with pets and kids?
Serendipity I uses resilient nylon that takes cleaning well, a practical choice for active households. For homes with pets, a cut pile is generally safer than a loop, which claws can snag. Ask us to match the right style to your household.
Where can I see Serendipity I near me?
You can see Anderson Tuftex Serendipity I at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. Carpet reads differently across a full floor, so we recommend seeing a sample first.
