Anderson Tuftex Scout Anderson Tuftex Broadloom Carpet

Anderson Tuftex Scout Anderson Tuftex is a loop pile broadloom carpet, nylon, carried and installed by Squarefoot Flooring. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms.

For bedrooms, stairs, and family rooms, nothing beats wall-to-wall carpet for warmth and quiet, and the choice really comes down to two things: the pile style and the fiber.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Scout Anderson Tuftex is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind that comes on a wide roll and is stretched over a separate cushion for a soft, warm, quiet floor. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.

The style and the build: This is a loop pile, built from uncut yarn loops that resist crushing and hide soil, a durable pick for high-traffic areas and stairs. If you have pets that claw, note that loops can snag, so a cut pile may suit better. It is built on nylon, prized for resilience: nylon recovers its shape under traffic and wears longer than softer fibers, which is why it is the go-to for stairs, hallways, and high-use family rooms. Solution-dyeing locks colour into the fiber for strong fade and stain resistance. It sits on a Softbac backing, softer and more pliable than an old-style rigid backing, so it tucks neatly around a room and resists the rippling that stiffer backings can develop. Its 34 to 50 oz per square yard face weight is solid residential density, a good balance of feel and value. The 12-foot roll width means fewer seams across a room, and we place the ones you do need where they show least. It is made in the USA. Colours in the range include Birch, Sesame, Downpour, Oxford, Monument, and Russet.

It belongs in the soft rooms of a home: bedrooms, family and media rooms, hallways, stairs, and finished basements, where comfort, warmth, and quiet outweigh the need for a wipeable surface. The only rooms to skip are the wet ones, baths and laundries.

Decision line: Scout Anderson Tuftex is the durable, soil-hiding pick for stairs, hallways, and busy rooms; if you have pets that claw, ask us about a cut-pile alternative.

This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.

We keep Scout Anderson Tuftex at both showrooms, where you can feel the pile and judge the colour properly. Contact us for stock, see how it works on stairs, or for offices and retail ask about our commercial flooring work. You can more on our Anderson Tuftex page.
