Anderson Tuftex Pawstruck Broadloom Carpet
Soft underfoot, warm in winter, and quiet in a busy house, broadloom carpet earns its place in bedrooms and lower levels, as long as you match the construction to the traffic.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Pawstruck is traditional wall-to-wall carpet, installed over an underpad for comfort and sound control. It is a soft, warm choice for bedrooms, stairs, and living spaces, and we install it in-house.
Think bedrooms, family rooms, home theatres, stairs, and lower levels: anywhere you want a soft, warm, quiet floor. Carpet also absorbs sound between rooms and floors, which helps in condos and busy households. Keep it out of bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms where moisture is a constant.
The detail behind that: It is a cut-and-loop carpet, which combines cut yarns and loops to sculpt a pattern into the surface. That high-low texture hides soil and footprints and adds visual interest without a printed look, a versatile middle ground between plush and loop. It is built on nylon, prized for resilience: nylon recovers its shape under traffic and wears longer than softer fibers, which is why it is the go-to for stairs, hallways, and high-use family rooms. Solution-dyeing locks colour into the fiber for strong fade and stain resistance. The Softbac backing is lighter and more flexible than a conventional hard backing, which helps it lie flat, stretch cleanly, and stay wrinkle-free underfoot. Its 26.5 oz per square yard face weight is on the lighter side, a fit for bedrooms and quieter rooms. Sold on 12-foot rolls, it covers most rooms with minimal seaming, which our installers plan to fall in low-traffic spots. It is USA-made. Colours in the range include Barely Beige, Capri Coast, Dry Sage, Golden Straw, Gray Mirage, and Misty Lake.
Most broadloom installs by the stretch-in method, and the cushion underneath matters as much as the carpet. Our own crew, employees rather than subcontractors, tacks down perimeter strips, lays a quality carpet underpad, then power-stretches the carpet tight and heat-seams any joins so they disappear. A properly stretched floor over the right pad is what keeps carpet looking good and feeling soft for years. Browse our projects to see our work.
Decision line: Pawstruck is built for real use, the carpet to choose for stairs, family rooms, and high-traffic areas that still need to feel soft.
See Pawstruck in person before deciding, since pile and colour shift across a room and under different light.
