Anderson Tuftex On Point Broadloom Carpet

Anderson Tuftex On Point is a nylon broadloom carpet, carried and installed by Squarefoot Flooring. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie stores.

Carpet is the one floor you feel before you see it, and broadloom is still the softest, warmest way to cover a bedroom or a whole lower level.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex On Point is traditional wall-to-wall carpet, installed over an underpad for comfort and sound control. It is a soft, warm choice for bedrooms, stairs, and living spaces, and we install it in-house.

The style and the build: This is a tufted wall-to-wall carpet, soft and warm in any living space. The yarn is nylon, the workhorse of carpet fiber. It resists crushing, bounces back after furniture and feet, and cleans up well, so it keeps its look in the rooms that get used hardest. Because it is solution-dyed, the colour runs all the way through the strand and shrugs off fading. A stable backing keeps the carpet flat and holds its shape through installation and use. Its 32 oz per square yard face weight is on the lighter side, a fit for bedrooms and quieter rooms. At 12 feet on the roll, a standard bedroom or living room seams just once or twice, kept out of the main walking paths. It is USA-made. Colours in the range include Adrift, Raffia, Euro Linen, Sandpiper, Mimosa, and Gilt.

It belongs in the soft rooms of a home: bedrooms, family and media rooms, hallways, stairs, and finished basements, where comfort, warmth, and quiet outweigh the need for a wipeable surface. The only rooms to skip are the wet ones, baths and laundries.

Decision line: On Point is built for real use, the carpet to choose for stairs, family rooms, and high-traffic areas that still need to feel soft.

Broadloom is stretched in over a separate underpad, not glued, and the install is where it is won or lost. Our in-house team sets the tack strips, lays the carpet underpad, power-stretches the carpet so it stays taut, and heat-seams the seams flat. We handle stairs and transitions too. See our projects for examples.

See On Point in person before deciding, since pile and colour shift across a room and under different light. It is at our Mississauga and Barrie stores; contact us about availability, and if it is for a lower level, our best flooring for a basement guide is worth a read. The full Anderson Tuftex lineup is worth a look as well.
