Anderson Tuftex Muse Anderson Tuftex Broadloom Carpet
Broadloom carpet is the wall-to-wall classic: a wide roll stretched over a cushion for a soft, near-continuous floor. Picking the right one is about matching the pile and fiber to how the room is used.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Muse Anderson Tuftex is traditional wall-to-wall carpet, installed over an underpad for comfort and sound control. It is a soft, warm choice for bedrooms, stairs, and living spaces, and we install it in-house.
Here is what matters with this one. This is a cut-and-loop construction: mixing cut and looped yarns creates a sculpted pattern that disguises dirt and traffic while giving the floor texture and depth. This one runs on nylon, the fiber to choose when durability matters. Nylon stands up to traffic and repeated cleaning better than polyester, making it a sound pick for stairs and main living areas. It sits on a Softbac backing, softer and more pliable than an old-style rigid backing, so it tucks neatly around a room and resists the rippling that stiffer backings can develop. Its 35 to 36 oz per square yard face weight is on the lighter side, a fit for bedrooms and quieter rooms. At 12 feet on the roll, a standard bedroom or living room seams just once or twice, kept out of the main walking paths. It is manufactured in the USA. Colours in the range include Bungalow, Aria, Minimal, Coronado, Folklore, and Wonder.
Broadloom is at its best in bedrooms, living and family rooms, stairs, hallways, and finished basements, the rooms where warmth, softness, and sound control matter. It is the one floor that makes a staircase quieter and safer underfoot. The one place to avoid carpet is a wet room like a bathroom or laundry.
This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.
Decision line: Muse Anderson Tuftex is built for real use, the carpet to choose for stairs, family rooms, and high-traffic areas that still need to feel soft.
Carpet colour and texture read very differently across a full room than in a small sample, so it is worth seeing Muse Anderson Tuftex in person at either showroom.
