Anderson Tuftex Moondance Anderson Tuftex Broadloom Carpet
Broadloom carpet is the wall-to-wall classic: a wide roll stretched over a cushion for a soft, near-continuous floor. Picking the right one is about matching the pile and fiber to how the room is used.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Moondance Anderson Tuftex is roll carpet for wall-to-wall installation, the soft, quiet, warm floor for the rooms where comfort matters most. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it with its own team.
The style and the build: This is a loop pile, built from uncut yarn loops that resist crushing and hide soil, a durable pick for high-traffic areas and stairs. If you have pets that claw, note that loops can snag, so a cut pile may suit better. The yarn is nylon, the workhorse of carpet fiber. It resists crushing, bounces back after furniture and feet, and cleans up well, so it keeps its look in the rooms that get used hardest. A Softbac backing is more flexible and quieter than a traditional stiff backing, which makes it easier to fit cleanly around a room and less prone to wrinkling over time. Its 34 to 60 oz per square yard face weight is on the dense, substantial end, so it feels thick and full underfoot. At 12 feet on the roll, a standard bedroom or living room seams just once or twice, kept out of the main walking paths. It is USA-made. Colours in the range include Restful, Pearl, Soft Ivory, Pale Beach, Neutral Ground, and Antique.
Good fits are bedrooms, living rooms, basements, home offices, and especially stairs, where carpet adds grip and hushes footsteps. It is warm and sound-absorbing, the opposite of a hard floor. The exception is wet rooms, where a waterproof hard surface is the better call.
Decision line: Moondance Anderson Tuftex is the durable, soil-hiding pick for stairs, hallways, and busy rooms; if you have pets that claw, ask us about a cut-pile alternative.
This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.
We keep Moondance Anderson Tuftex at both showrooms, where you can feel the pile and judge the colour properly. Contact us for stock, see how it works on stairs, or for offices and retail ask about our commercial flooring work. You can more on our Anderson Tuftex page.
