Anderson Tuftex Moderne Broadloom Carpet
For bedrooms, stairs, and family rooms, nothing beats wall-to-wall carpet for warmth and quiet, and the choice really comes down to two things: the pile style and the fiber.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Moderne is roll carpet for wall-to-wall installation, the soft, quiet, warm floor for the rooms where comfort matters most. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it with its own team.
Here is what matters with this one. It is a cut-and-loop carpet, which combines cut yarns and loops to sculpt a pattern into the surface. That high-low texture hides soil and footprints and adds visual interest without a printed look, a versatile middle ground between plush and loop. The fiber is PET polyester, which is naturally soft and stain-resistant and often made with recycled content. It is gentler on the budget than nylon and feels plush underfoot, though it is less springy, so it suits bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms more than a busy stair. A Softbac backing is more flexible and quieter than a traditional stiff backing, which makes it easier to fit cleanly around a room and less prone to wrinkling over time. Its 48 oz per square yard face weight is solid residential density, a good balance of feel and value. The 12-foot roll width means fewer seams across a room, and we place the ones you do need where they show least. Made in the USA, it also uses recycled fiber. Colours in the range include Aged Parchment, Ancient Street, Breakfast Tea, Cathedral, Chateau, and English Garden.
Broadloom is at its best in bedrooms, living and family rooms, stairs, hallways, and finished basements, the rooms where warmth, softness, and sound control matter. It is the one floor that makes a staircase quieter and safer underfoot. The one place to avoid carpet is a wet room like a bathroom or laundry.
Broadloom is stretched in over a separate underpad, not glued, and the install is where it is won or lost. Our in-house team sets the tack strips, lays the carpet underpad, power-stretches the carpet so it stays taut, and heat-seams the seams flat. We handle stairs and transitions too. See our projects for examples.
Decision line: Moderne is the soft, value-minded choice, best in bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms where comfort and stain resistance lead.
We keep Moderne at both showrooms, where you can feel the pile and judge the colour properly. Contact us for stock, see how it works on stairs, or for offices and retail ask about our commercial flooring work. You can more on our Anderson Tuftex page.
