Anderson Tuftex Magnifique Broadloom Carpet
Soft underfoot, warm in winter, and quiet in a busy house, broadloom carpet earns its place in bedrooms and lower levels, as long as you match the construction to the traffic.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Magnifique is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind that comes on a wide roll and is stretched over a separate cushion for a soft, warm, quiet floor. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.
It belongs in the soft rooms of a home: bedrooms, family and media rooms, hallways, stairs, and finished basements, where comfort, warmth, and quiet outweigh the need for a wipeable surface. The only rooms to skip are the wet ones, baths and laundries.
The detail behind that: It is a cut pile carpet, with the yarn tips cut for a soft, classic surface. It is comfortable underfoot and works across most living spaces. It uses PET polyester, valued for a soft hand and built-in stain resistance, frequently with recycled fiber. It is a comfortable, value-minded choice best kept to steadier-traffic rooms rather than the busiest paths in the house. It sits on a Softbac backing, softer and more pliable than an old-style rigid backing, so it tucks neatly around a room and resists the rippling that stiffer backings can develop. At a dense 75 oz per square yard of face weight, there is a lot of yarn underfoot, which reads as a plusher, more substantial carpet. Sold on 12-foot rolls, it covers most rooms with minimal seaming, which our installers plan to fall in low-traffic spots. It is USA-made with recycled content in the yarn. Colours in the range include Aged Parchment, Ancient Street, Breakfast Tea, Cathedral, Chateau, and Crystal Chandelier.
This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.
Decision line: Magnifique is the soft, value-minded choice, best in bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms where comfort and stain resistance lead.
We keep Magnifique at both showrooms, where you can feel the pile and judge the colour properly. Contact us for stock, see how it works on stairs, or for offices and retail ask about our commercial flooring work. You can more on our Anderson Tuftex page.
