Why Kaleidoscope Stands Out

For bedrooms, stairs, and family rooms, nothing beats wall-to-wall carpet for warmth and quiet, and the choice really comes down to two things: the pile style and the fiber.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Kaleidoscope is traditional wall-to-wall carpet, installed over an underpad for comfort and sound control. It is a soft, warm choice for bedrooms, stairs, and living spaces, and we install it in-house.

Here is what matters with this one. It is a cut pile carpet, with the yarn tips cut for a soft, classic surface. It is comfortable underfoot and works across most living spaces. The fiber is PET polyester, which is naturally soft and stain-resistant and often made with recycled content. It is gentler on the budget than nylon and feels plush underfoot, though it is less springy, so it suits bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms more than a busy stair. It is built on a LifeGuard waterproof backing, a moisture barrier that keeps spills and pet accidents from reaching the pad and subfloor underneath, which makes carpet far more forgiving in a real household. At a dense 75 oz per square yard of face weight, there is a lot of yarn underfoot, which reads as a plusher, more substantial carpet. At 12 feet on the roll, a standard bedroom or living room seams just once or twice, kept out of the main walking paths. It is made in the USA and includes recycled content. Colours in the range include Amber Crystal, Aqua Mist, Catalina, Cool Dill, Deep Spruce, and Element.

Think bedrooms, family rooms, home theatres, stairs, and lower levels: anywhere you want a soft, warm, quiet floor. Carpet also absorbs sound between rooms and floors, which helps in condos and busy households. Keep it out of bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms where moisture is a constant.

This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.

Decision line: Kaleidoscope is the soft, value-minded choice, best in bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms where comfort and stain resistance lead.

See Kaleidoscope in person before deciding, since pile and colour shift across a room and under different light. It is at our Mississauga and Barrie stores; contact us about availability, and if it is for a lower level, our best flooring for a basement guide is worth a read. Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Anderson Tuftex Kaleidoscope?
Anderson Tuftex Kaleidoscope is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind on a 12-foot roll, in a cut pile style built on PET polyester. It is stretched in over a separate underpad. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Where is Kaleidoscope best used?
Kaleidoscope suits bedrooms, living and family rooms, stairs, hallways, and finished basements, where warmth, softness, and sound control matter. Its polyester fiber is soft and best kept to steadier-traffic rooms. Carpet should not go in wet rooms like bathrooms or laundry rooms.
How is Kaleidoscope installed?
Kaleidoscope is installed by the stretch-in method over a separate cushion. Our crew tacks perimeter strips, lays the underpad, power-stretches the carpet so it stays taut, and heat-seams any joins flat. The quality of the underpad and the stretch is what keeps carpet looking and feeling good over time.
Does Kaleidoscope protect against spills?
Yes. Kaleidoscope is built on a LifeGuard waterproof backing, a moisture barrier that stops spills and pet accidents from soaking through to the cushion and subfloor, so messes stay on the surface where they can be cleaned. It does not make the carpet suitable for a bathroom, but it makes everyday spills far more forgiving.
Where can I see Kaleidoscope near me?
You can see Anderson Tuftex Kaleidoscope at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. Carpet reads differently across a full floor, so we recommend seeing a sample first.
