Anderson Tuftex Inspired Broadloom Carpet

Anderson Tuftex Inspired is a loop pile broadloom carpet, nylon, with a LifeGuard waterproof backing, carried and installed by Squarefoot Flooring. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie stores.

Soft underfoot, warm in winter, and quiet in a busy house, broadloom carpet earns its place in bedrooms and lower levels, as long as you match the construction to the traffic.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Inspired is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind that comes on a wide roll and is stretched over a separate cushion for a soft, warm, quiet floor. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.

Here is what matters with this one. It is a loop construction, with the yarn left in tight uncut loops that take heavy use and disguise dirt, which makes it a strong choice for stairs and busy hallways. The one caveat is pets: claws can pull a loop, so cut pile is safer in a scratch-prone home. The fiber is nylon, the most resilient carpet fiber there is: it springs back from foot traffic instead of matting down, takes cleaning well, and holds up on stairs and in busy rooms better than any other fiber. The standout here is the backing: a LifeGuard waterproof backing that stops spills from soaking through to the cushion and subfloor, so a knocked-over drink or a pet accident stays on the surface where you can clean it. If you have kids or pets, this is the feature to look for. At 40 oz per square yard, the face weight sits in the practical residential range, balancing comfort and cost. At 12 feet on the roll, a standard bedroom or living room seams just once or twice, kept out of the main walking paths. It is manufactured in the USA. Colours in the range include Amethyst, Azurite, Basalt, Birchbark, Blossom, and Cashmere.

It belongs in the soft rooms of a home: bedrooms, family and media rooms, hallways, stairs, and finished basements, where comfort, warmth, and quiet outweigh the need for a wipeable surface. The only rooms to skip are the wet ones, baths and laundries.

Broadloom is stretched in over a separate underpad, not glued, and the install is where it is won or lost. Our in-house team sets the tack strips, lays the carpet underpad, power-stretches the carpet so it stays taut, and heat-seams the seams flat. We handle stairs and transitions too. See our projects for examples.

Decision line: Inspired is the durable, soil-hiding pick for stairs, hallways, and busy rooms; if you have pets that claw, ask us about a cut-pile alternative.

Carpet colour and texture read very differently across a full room than in a small sample, so it is worth seeing Inspired in person at either store. Contact us to check stock, browse the wider broadloom carpet range, or compare it with modular carpet tile. You can more on our Anderson Tuftex page.
