Anderson Tuftex Icon Broadloom Carpet
Broadloom carpet is the wall-to-wall classic: a wide roll stretched over a cushion for a soft, near-continuous floor. Picking the right one is about matching the pile and fiber to how the room is used.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Icon is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind that comes on a wide roll and is stretched over a separate cushion for a soft, warm, quiet floor. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.
It belongs in the soft rooms of a home: bedrooms, family and media rooms, hallways, stairs, and finished basements, where comfort, warmth, and quiet outweigh the need for a wipeable surface. The only rooms to skip are the wet ones, baths and laundries.
The detail behind that: This is a patterned style, with the design worked into the pile itself. It camouflages everyday traffic and adds a tailored look that a plain carpet cannot. The standout here is the backing: a LifeGuard waterproof backing that stops spills from soaking through to the cushion and subfloor, so a knocked-over drink or a pet accident stays on the surface where you can clean it. If you have kids or pets, this is the feature to look for. Its 55 oz per square yard face weight is solid residential density, a good balance of feel and value. The 12-foot roll width means fewer seams across a room, and we place the ones you do need where they show least. It is USA-made. Colours in the range include Birch Bark, Chic Taupe, Driftwood, Fine Jewelry, Moody Blue, and Sea Salt.
Most broadloom installs by the stretch-in method, and the cushion underneath matters as much as the carpet. Our own crew, employees rather than subcontractors, tacks down perimeter strips, lays a quality carpet underpad, then power-stretches the carpet tight and heat-seams any joins so they disappear. A properly stretched floor over the right pad is what keeps carpet looking good and feeling soft for years. Browse our projects to see our work.
Decision line: Icon suits bedrooms, living rooms, and stairs where comfort and warmth come first.
