Anderson Tuftex Fancy That Broadloom Carpet

Anderson Tuftex Fancy That is a cut & loop pile broadloom carpet, polyester, with a LifeGuard waterproof backing, carried and installed by Squarefoot Flooring. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms.

Carpet is the one floor you feel before you see it, and broadloom is still the softest, warmest way to cover a bedroom or a whole lower level.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Fancy That is roll carpet for wall-to-wall installation, the soft, quiet, warm floor for the rooms where comfort matters most. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it with its own team.

The style and the build: It is a cut-and-loop carpet, which combines cut yarns and loops to sculpt a pattern into the surface. That high-low texture hides soil and footprints and adds visual interest without a printed look, a versatile middle ground between plush and loop. The yarn is PET polyester, soft underfoot and inherently stain-resistant, and commonly made from recycled material. It is easy on the budget and lovely in a bedroom, though nylon is the tougher pick for heavy traffic. It is built on a LifeGuard waterproof backing, a moisture barrier that keeps spills and pet accidents from reaching the pad and subfloor underneath, which makes carpet far more forgiving in a real household. At 55 oz per square yard, the face weight sits in the practical residential range, balancing comfort and cost. Sold on 12-foot rolls, it covers most rooms with minimal seaming, which our installers plan to fall in low-traffic spots. It is made in the USA and includes recycled content. Colours in the range include Barnboard, Calm Pewter, Coastline, Coconut Ice, Eclipse, and Glacier.

Good fits are bedrooms, living rooms, basements, home offices, and especially stairs, where carpet adds grip and hushes footsteps. It is warm and sound-absorbing, the opposite of a hard floor. The exception is wet rooms, where a waterproof hard surface is the better call.

Decision line: Fancy That is the soft, value-minded choice, best in bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms where comfort and stain resistance lead.

This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.

We keep Fancy That at both showrooms, where you can feel the pile and judge the colour properly. Contact us for stock, see how it works on stairs, or for offices and retail ask about our commercial flooring work. See the wider Anderson Tuftex range too.
