Anderson Tuftex Evoke Broadloom Carpet
Broadloom carpet is the wall-to-wall classic: a wide roll stretched over a cushion for a soft, near-continuous floor. Picking the right one is about matching the pile and fiber to how the room is used.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Evoke is traditional wall-to-wall carpet, installed over an underpad for comfort and sound control. It is a soft, warm choice for bedrooms, stairs, and living spaces, and we install it in-house.
Here is what matters with this one. It is a cut-and-loop, blending cut tufts with loops to build a subtle relief pattern. The varied surface hides everyday soil and footprints and reads as texture rather than a printed motif, sitting nicely between a flat plush and a hard loop. The fiber is PET polyester, which is naturally soft and stain-resistant and often made with recycled content. It is gentler on the budget than nylon and feels plush underfoot, though it is less springy, so it suits bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms more than a busy stair. It is built on a LifeGuard waterproof backing, a moisture barrier that keeps spills and pet accidents from reaching the pad and subfloor underneath, which makes carpet far more forgiving in a real household. Its 51 oz per square yard face weight is solid residential density, a good balance of feel and value. The 12-foot roll width means fewer seams across a room, and we place the ones you do need where they show least. Made in the USA, it also uses recycled fiber. Colours in the range include Canvas, Charcoals, Dark Roast, First Frost, Fresh Bread, and Granite.
It belongs in the soft rooms of a home: bedrooms, family and media rooms, hallways, stairs, and finished basements, where comfort, warmth, and quiet outweigh the need for a wipeable surface. The only rooms to skip are the wet ones, baths and laundries.
This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish. Doing the stretch and the pad right is what prevents wrinkles and wear down the line. See our projects for past jobs.
Decision line: Evoke is the soft, value-minded choice, best in bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms where comfort and stain resistance lead.
See Evoke in person before deciding, since pile and colour shift across a room and under different light. It is at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms; contact us about availability, and if it is for a lower level, our best flooring for a basement guide is worth a read.
