Why Collab Stands Out

For bedrooms, stairs, and family rooms, nothing beats wall-to-wall carpet for warmth and quiet, and the choice really comes down to two things: the pile style and the fiber.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Collab is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind that comes on a wide roll and is stretched over a separate cushion for a soft, warm, quiet floor. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.

It belongs in the soft rooms of a home: bedrooms, family and media rooms, hallways, stairs, and finished basements, where comfort, warmth, and quiet outweigh the need for a wipeable surface. The only rooms to skip are the wet ones, baths and laundries.

The detail behind that: This is a patterned style, with the design worked into the pile itself. It camouflages everyday traffic and adds a tailored look that a plain carpet cannot. It is built on a LifeGuard waterproof backing, a moisture barrier that keeps spills and pet accidents from reaching the pad and subfloor underneath, which makes carpet far more forgiving in a real household. Its 55 oz per square yard face weight is solid residential density, a good balance of feel and value. Sold on 12-foot rolls, it covers most rooms with minimal seaming, which our installers plan to fall in low-traffic spots. It is made in the USA. Colours in the range include Autumn Acorn, Birch Bark, Chic Taupe, Driftwood, Fine Jewelry, and Ivory Metallic.

Most broadloom installs by the stretch-in method, and the cushion underneath matters as much as the carpet. Our own crew, employees rather than subcontractors, tacks down perimeter strips, lays a quality carpet underpad, then power-stretches the carpet tight and heat-seams any joins so they disappear. A properly stretched floor over the right pad is what keeps carpet looking good and feeling soft for years. Browse our projects to see our work.

Decision line: Collab suits bedrooms, living rooms, and stairs where comfort and warmth come first.

We keep Collab at both stores, where you can feel the pile and judge the colour properly. Contact us for stock, see how it works on stairs, or for offices and retail ask about our commercial flooring work. You can more on our Anderson Tuftex page.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Anderson Tuftex Collab?
Anderson Tuftex Collab is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind on a 12-foot roll, in a patterned style built on carpet. It is stretched in over a separate underpad. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Where is Collab best used?
Collab suits bedrooms, living and family rooms, stairs, hallways, and finished basements, where warmth, softness, and sound control matter. Carpet should not go in wet rooms like bathrooms or laundry rooms.
How is Collab installed?
Collab is installed by the stretch-in method over a separate cushion. Our crew tacks perimeter strips, lays the underpad, power-stretches the carpet so it stays taut, and heat-seams any joins flat. The quality of the underpad and the stretch is what keeps carpet looking and feeling good over time.
Does Collab protect against spills?
Yes. Collab is built on a LifeGuard waterproof backing, a moisture barrier that stops spills and pet accidents from soaking through to the cushion and subfloor, so messes stay on the surface where they can be cleaned. It does not make the carpet suitable for a bathroom, but it makes everyday spills far more forgiving.
Where can I see Collab near me?
You can see Anderson Tuftex Collab at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. Carpet reads differently across a full floor, so we recommend seeing a sample first.
