Anderson Tuftex Casual Life Broadloom Carpet
Carpet is the one floor you feel before you see it, and broadloom is still the softest, warmest way to cover a bedroom or a whole lower level.
In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Casual Life is roll carpet for wall-to-wall installation, the soft, quiet, warm floor for the rooms where comfort matters most. Squarefoot Flooring stocks it and installs it with its own team.
Here is what matters with this one. It is a loop construction, with the yarn left in tight uncut loops that take heavy use and disguise dirt, which makes it a strong choice for stairs and busy hallways. The one caveat is pets: claws can pull a loop, so cut pile is safer in a scratch-prone home. It is built on nylon, prized for resilience: nylon recovers its shape under traffic and wears longer than softer fibers, which is why it is the go-to for stairs, hallways, and high-use family rooms. A Softbac backing is more flexible and quieter than a traditional stiff backing, which makes it easier to fit cleanly around a room and less prone to wrinkling over time. At 26 oz per square yard, it is a lighter-weight carpet suited to bedrooms and lower-traffic rooms. It comes on standard 12-foot-wide rolls, so a typical room needs only one or two planned seams. It is manufactured in the USA. Colours in the range include Agate, Atmosphere, Baked Beige, Cement, Chamois, and Charcoal.
Think bedrooms, family rooms, home theatres, stairs, and lower levels: anywhere you want a soft, warm, quiet floor. Carpet also absorbs sound between rooms and floors, which helps in condos and busy households. Keep it out of bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms where moisture is a constant.
Most broadloom installs by the stretch-in method, and the cushion underneath matters as much as the carpet. Our own crew, employees rather than subcontractors, tacks down perimeter strips, lays a quality carpet underpad, then power-stretches the carpet tight and heat-seams any joins so they disappear. A properly stretched floor over the right pad is what keeps carpet looking good and feeling soft for years. Browse our projects to see our work.
Decision line: Casual Life is the durable, soil-hiding pick for stairs, hallways, and busy rooms; if you have pets that claw, ask us about a cut-pile alternative.
Carpet colour and texture read very differently across a full room than in a small sample, so it is worth seeing Casual Life in person at either showroom.
