The style and the build: This is a textured cut pile, where each yarn is twisted to break up the surface, so it disguises footprints and traffic far better than a smooth plush. That makes it the workhorse choice for living rooms, bedrooms, and family spaces. This one runs on nylon, the fiber to choose when durability matters. Nylon stands up to traffic and repeated cleaning better than polyester, making it a sound pick for stairs and main living areas. The Softbac backing is lighter and more flexible than a conventional hard backing, which helps it lie flat, stretch cleanly, and stay wrinkle-free underfoot. At 50 oz per square yard, the face weight sits in the practical residential range, balancing comfort and cost. Sold on 12-foot rolls, it covers most rooms with minimal seaming, which our installers plan to fall in low-traffic spots. It is manufactured in the USA. This installs the traditional way: a separate carpet underpad goes down first, perimeter tack strips hold the edges, and our own installers power-stretch the carpet so it lies drum-tight, then heat-weld any seams so they vanish.
