Anderson Tuftex Avalon Bay Broadloom Carpet

Anderson Tuftex Avalon Bay is a textured pile broadloom carpet, nylon, carried and installed by Squarefoot Flooring. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms.

For bedrooms, stairs, and family rooms, nothing beats wall-to-wall carpet for warmth and quiet, and the choice really comes down to two things: the pile style and the fiber.

In simple terms: Anderson Tuftex Avalon Bay is broadloom carpet, the wall-to-wall kind that comes on a wide roll and is stretched over a separate cushion for a soft, warm, quiet floor. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.

The style and the build: It is a textured cut pile, built from twisted yarns that refuse to show every footprint and track mark. That forgiving surface is why it is the default choice for everyday rooms rather than for-show spaces. This one runs on nylon, the fiber to choose when durability matters. Nylon stands up to traffic and repeated cleaning better than polyester, making it a sound pick for stairs and main living areas. A Softbac backing is more flexible and quieter than a traditional stiff backing, which makes it easier to fit cleanly around a room and less prone to wrinkling over time. Its 50 oz per square yard face weight is solid residential density, a good balance of feel and value. At 12 feet on the roll, a standard bedroom or living room seams just once or twice, kept out of the main walking paths. It is made in the USA. Colours in the range include Asphalt, Calypso, Charcoal Blue, Chic Taupe, Distant Land, and Down Home.

Broadloom is at its best in bedrooms, living and family rooms, stairs, hallways, and finished basements, the rooms where warmth, softness, and sound control matter. It is the one floor that makes a staircase quieter and safer underfoot. The one place to avoid carpet is a wet room like a bathroom or laundry.

Decision line: Avalon Bay is built for real use, the carpet to choose for stairs, family rooms, and high-traffic areas that still need to feel soft.

Most broadloom installs by the stretch-in method, and the cushion underneath matters as much as the carpet. Our own crew, employees rather than subcontractors, tacks down perimeter strips, lays a quality carpet underpad, then power-stretches the carpet tight and heat-seams any joins so they disappear. A properly stretched floor over the right pad is what keeps carpet looking good and feeling soft for years. Browse our projects to see our work.

Carpet colour and texture read very differently across a full room than in a small sample, so it is worth seeing Avalon Bay in person at either showroom.
