Plata Carrara Abisso is a 24" x 24" polished porcelain tile in the Plata range. The surface carries a polished face with a full reflective shine. Shade variation is graded V2, a slight shift in tone between pieces that stops the installation looking printed. On the residential side that covers kitchens, entry halls and main-floor living areas. Commercially it is specified for retail floors, restaurant and cafe dining rooms and hotel lobbies. The published figures are a DCOF of 0.50, at or above the 0.42 threshold ANSI sets for level interior floors expected to be walked on wet, Class 4 abrasion resistance and Mohs hardness 7. The edges are rectified, cut square after firing, so it sets with a joint of roughly 2 to 3 mm on a flat substrate. The body is glazed porcelain. Boxes hold 4 pieces and cover 15.50 sq ft.
