Why Seaside Stands Out

Vinyl has quietly become the floor of choice for kitchens, basements, and busy households, and for one simple reason: water does not bother it.

In simple terms: Beaulieu Seaside is a wood-look vinyl plank that handles water, pets, and busy rooms without complaint. We carry it and install it in-house.

This is a glue-down (dryback) vinyl, meaning each plank is adhered directly to the subfloor rather than floated. That makes it rock-solid underfoot with no movement or hollow sound, ideal for big open areas and commercial rooms, and a single plank can be replaced without disturbing the rest. A flat, dry subfloor is essential. It has a 22 mil wear layer, the sweet spot for busy homes and light commercial rooms, well above the builder-grade 6 to 12 mil you find in big-box vinyl. On vinyl, that mil number is the best single predictor of how long the floor keeps looking new, more than thickness or price. It is 100% waterproof top to bottom, not merely water-resistant, so kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, basements, and entries are all fair game. It carries an IIC rating around 62 and an STC around 68, so it clears the sound-transfer rules most GTA condo boards set, a common sticking point in high-rises. Planks run up to 7 inches wide and 64 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. The surface is embossed in register, so the texture follows the printed grain and reads convincingly like wood. Micro-bevelled edges define each plank for a more authentic look. It is FloorScore certified for indoor air quality and phthalate-free. It is backed by a Lifetime residential and 15-year commercial warranty. Colours in the range include Caspian, Adriatic, Baltic, Caribbean, and Flores.

Decision line: Seaside is the pick when you want a flat, glued-down floor for a big or busy space, provided the subfloor is smooth and level.

Our own crew installs Beaulieu Seaside across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted. Glue-down vinyl rewards a flat, dry subfloor, so prep is where we spend the time, then finish the trim and transitions. See our vinyl installation page.

Vinyl reads differently across a full floor than in a small sample, so it is worth seeing Seaside in person at either store. Contact us to check current stock, or browse the full vinyl plank range. For more on what waterproof really means, see our is flooring waterproof guide.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Beaulieu Seaside?
Beaulieu Seaside is a glue-down luxury vinyl plank, 100% waterproof, with a 22 mil wear layer. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Is Seaside really waterproof?
Yes. Seaside is 100% waterproof through the whole plank, not just water-resistant on the surface, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements. Standing water will not damage the floor itself, though you should still wipe up spills so they do not sit at the edges.
How durable is Seaside?
Durability on vinyl comes down to the wear layer, and Seaside has a 22 mil layer, a heavy-residential to light-commercial thickness that handles pets, kids, and busy rooms. The mil rating predicts how long it keeps looking new better than the overall thickness does.
Is Seaside suitable for a condo?
It can be. Seaside carries an IIC rating around 62, which helps it meet the sound requirements most Toronto and Mississauga condo boards set. Always confirm your building's exact rating before ordering, and we can help match it.
How is Seaside installed?
Seaside is a glue-down vinyl, bonded directly to a smooth, flat, dry subfloor with full-spread adhesive. It lies flat with no hollow sound and suits large or high-traffic areas, and our crew handles the subfloor prep that makes or breaks the result.
