Urban Zebra Fusion Smeraldo Glossy Porcelain Subway Tile 2.5" x 10"

Urban Zebra Fusion Smeraldo is a glossy porcelain subway tile in 2.5" x 10", part of the Urban Zebra Fusion range. The colour is Smeraldo. It has a subway look.

It is 9 mm thick and made in Italy. The edges are non-rectified. The spec sheet lists slip resistance R9, water absorption 0.5% or less and shade variation V3. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself does not need sealing.

Each box holds 50 pieces and covers 8.5 sq ft, so a 30 sq ft kitchen backsplash takes 4 boxes, and that still leaves about 10% extra for cuts and spares.

The spec sheet lists it as frost resistant, but an outdoor floor also needs the right slip rating and base, so ask us before planning it outside. On a floor, keep the glossy face out of showers and away from entry doors where wet boots come in, because it gets slick when wet. At R9 it is not the tile for a shower floor or a wet commercial area. It is pressed, not rectified, so plan on a slightly wider grout joint.
