What trim do I need with a new floor in Barrie?
Every floating floor needs its expansion gap covered: either a new baseboard, or quarter round or shoe moulding against the existing baseboard. Doorways need transitions, and stairs need nosing matched to the floor.
Should I replace the baseboards or add quarter round?
Replacing the baseboard gives the cleanest line and is the better job if the trim is dated. Quarter round or shoe moulding against the existing baseboard is faster and cheaper and is the usual choice in a rental or a quick renovation.
What are the trim options?
Primed MDF for painting, solid wood for staining to match hardwood, and moisture-resistant PVC for bathrooms, basements and mudrooms. We stock baseboard, quarter round, shoe, casings and crown in full lengths.
Can you match the trim to my floor?
