Why Curate Vinyl Stands Out

The question that matters with vinyl is not the colour, it is what happens the first winter of wet boots and grit.

In simple terms: Taiga Curate Vinyl is luxury vinyl with a rigid rigid-core stone-composite core. It shrugs off everyday water, and our own crews install it.

The build: boards run 7 mm thick, in 12" x 24" and 9" x 60" formats, under a 22 mil wear layer. Colourways include Chelsea, Chiseled, Cognac, Lyon and Oak.

Decision line: at 22 mil, Curate Vinyl is specified past residential into commercial territory, so busy family floors, rentals and light commercial rooms are all within its rating.

Kitchens, basements, entries and bathrooms are all fair game once the subfloor is flat and dry, which is our crews' job, not yours. Read how we work on the vinyl installation page, and see Curate Vinyl full-size at our Mississauga or Barrie store.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Taiga Curate Vinyl?
Taiga Building Curate Vinyl is vinyl flooring. Every piece in the line is 7 mm thick, so nothing sits proud of its neighbour. Water does not get through the wear layer, so it works below grade and in wet rooms.
Is Curate Vinyl waterproof?
The vinyl construction does not swell with everyday spills or humidity, so kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms and basements are all suitable when it is installed correctly. Standing water should still be wiped up, as with any floating or glued floor.
Which rooms suit Curate Vinyl?
Any room in a home, including the wet and busy ones. For commercial spaces, the wear layer decides: bring the traffic reality of the space to the store and we will confirm whether this line or a heavier one is the right spec.
Where can I see Curate Vinyl near me?
You can see it at both Squarefoot Flooring stores, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. A full sample under room light reads very differently from a photo, so come compare it in person before deciding.
