Ek Calacatta is a 3" x 12" Porcelain Tile. Porcelain is pressed and fired denser than ceramic, which is what lets it take water, frost and daily traffic. The matte face holds light rather than bouncing it, so it hides dust and water spotting between cleans. Porcelain of this density is normally specified for floors and walls through the home. The plank shape can run in a straight lay or a herringbone to draw the eye down a room. A box covers 0.25 square feet, so order the area plus about ten percent for cuts and waste.
