Area Rug Store for Mississauga, Barrie and the GTA
Rugs are bought with your feet and your eyes, not a product photo. Walk the racks at either store, see true colour and pile in person, and leave with the right size, including custom cut and bound rugs made to your room.
Call Mississauga Call BarrieWhy a Rug Needs a Store
Online rug shopping fails for one simple reason: the two things that decide whether you love a rug, its true colour in your light and how it feels underfoot, are exactly the two things a screen cannot show. A rug that photographs as warm grey arrives green-grey; a pile that looks plush turns out thin. At our Mississauga and Barrie stores the rugs hang where you can run a hand over them, next to the hardwood, vinyl and tile they will actually sit on, so you judge the pairing, not a swatch.
In simple terms: we sell the floor and the rug that goes on it, from the same two stores, so the colours are chosen together instead of guessed apart.
What the Rug Wall Holds
The program is built around Affiliated Weavers, and the range is wider than most people expect from a flooring store. Contemporary collections like Spectrum, Nordic and Intrigue cover modern rooms; Botticelli, Florence and Empress carry traditional patterns; Napa Valley, Bromont, Lucca, Serendipity and Catania sit in the warm transitional middle; and a dedicated Runners line covers halls and staircases. Sizes vary by design, so bring your room measurements and we will tell you what each design is made in. The full catalogue is browsable under area rugs if you want a shortlist before you visit.
The quiet advantage of buying rugs from a store that also sells carpet: custom bound rugs. We cut broadloom carpet to the exact size your room needs and bind the edges, which solves the eternal problem of standard rug sizes never quite fitting the furniture layout. You pick the carpet quality, the dimensions and the binding, and the same cut-and-bind service produces stair runners matched to your staircase.
Decision line: if a standard size fits your room, choose from the Affiliated Weavers wall; if the furniture layout demands an odd size, have us bind one from broadloom instead of compromising.
A Rug Store Inside a Carpet Store
Both locations double as full carpet stores for Mississauga, Barrie and the surrounding regions. The same showrooms that hold the rug racks carry wall-to-wall broadloom from Affiliated Weavers, Anderson Tuftex and Beaulieu Canada, with pet-friendly and basement-rated constructions, and our own in-house crews handle the installation. If your project is a whole room of carpet rather than a rug on hard flooring, you are in the right building either way.

Rug Store FAQ
Where is your rug store located?
Two locations: 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4 in Mississauga, and 112 Saunders Road, Units 1-4 in Barrie, just off Highway 400. Area rugs are displayed alongside the hard flooring they usually sit on, which is the right way to judge them.
What area rug brands and styles do you carry?
Our rug program is built around Affiliated Weavers, with collections running from contemporary designs like Spectrum and Nordic to traditional patterns like Botticelli and Florence, warm transitional lines like Napa Valley, Lucca and Catania, plus a dedicated Runners line for halls and stairs. Sizes vary by design, so bring your room measurements.
Can you make a custom sized rug?
Yes. We cut and bind custom area rugs from broadloom carpet, which means the size matches your room rather than the nearest standard size, and you choose the carpet quality and the binding. The same service covers stair runners cut to your staircase.
Why buy a rug in a store instead of online?
Pile height, density and true colour do not survive a product photo. In the store you stand on the rug, see it beside the flooring it will sit on, and leave knowing what arrives is what you chose.
See the Rugs in Person
Bring your room sizes and a photo of the space. Ten minutes on the rug wall beats an evening of guessing from screenshots.
