Richmond Tile Plata Onyx Crystallo 24"x48" Polished

Plata Onyx Crystallo Polished at 24" x 48" is large enough that the subfloor has to be flat first, because a tile this size telegraphs every dip underneath. The look is worth the prep. Polished gives you the reflective surface, and the trade is grip: wet polished tile is slippery, so keep it off a wet floor and enjoy it on a wall or a dry room. Porcelain is fired dense all the way through, so a chip does not show a different colour underneath the way it can on a glazed ceramic. Worth seeing in person in Mississauga or Barrie, because lighting changes tile more than people expect.
