Why Pangol Origin Stands Out

Most vinyl floors look fine in the box; what separates them is the wear layer, the thing that decides whether the floor still looks new in five years.

In simple terms: Pangol Origin is a wood-look vinyl plank that handles water, pets, and busy rooms without complaint. We carry it and install it in-house.

This is an rigid-core floor, stone polymer composite, which means a dense rigid core that stays dead flat and dimensionally stable. It will not expand, contract, or telegraph small subfloor flaws the way flexible vinyl can, and it floats into place over most existing surfaces. It has a 20 mil wear layer, the sweet spot for busy homes and light commercial rooms, well above the builder-grade 6 to 12 mil you find in big-box vinyl. On vinyl, that mil number is the best single predictor of how long the floor keeps looking new, more than thickness or price. Water is a non-issue: it is 100% waterproof through the whole plank, which is what makes it the go-to for bathrooms, kitchens, and below-grade rooms. It carries an IIC rating around 73 and an STC around 72 plus an attached acoustic pad, so it clears the sound-transfer rules most GTA condo boards set, a common sticking point in high-rises. Planks run up to 7 inches wide and 48 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. An embossed surface adds real texture underfoot rather than a flat printed face. It is also FloorScore certified for indoor air quality. It is backed by a 30-year residential and 12-year commercial warranty. Colours in the range include PS101, PS102, PS103, PS104, and PS105.

Decision line: reach for Pangol Origin where stability and waterproofing lead the list: basements, kitchens, condos, and over concrete.

Our own crew installs Pangol Origin across the Toronto and Mississauga area, Barrie, and Simcoe County, never subcontracted. A floating vinyl floor still needs a clean, flat base, so we level and prep first, then finish the trim and transitions. See our vinyl installation page.

Vinyl reads differently across a full floor than in a small sample, so it is worth seeing Pangol Origin in person at either store. Contact us to check current stock, or browse the full vinyl plank range. For more on what waterproof really means, see our is flooring waterproof guide.

Still Have Questions?

Quick answers about this collection before you buy.

What is Pangol Origin?
Pangol Origin is an SPC (stone polymer composite) luxury vinyl plank, 100% waterproof, with a 20 mil wear layer. Squarefoot Flooring carries it and installs it with our own crew.
Is Pangol Origin really waterproof?
Yes. Pangol Origin is 100% waterproof through the whole plank, not just water-resistant on the surface, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements. Standing water will not damage the floor itself, though you should still wipe up spills so they do not sit at the edges.
How durable is Pangol Origin?
Durability on vinyl comes down to the wear layer, and Pangol Origin has a 20 mil layer, a heavy-residential to light-commercial thickness that handles pets, kids, and busy rooms. The mil rating predicts how long it keeps looking new better than the overall thickness does.
Is Pangol Origin suitable for a condo?
It can be. Pangol Origin carries an IIC rating around 73, which helps it meet the sound requirements most Toronto and Mississauga condo boards set. Always confirm your building's exact rating before ordering, and we can help match it.
Where can I see Pangol Origin near me?
You can see Pangol Origin at both Squarefoot Flooring showrooms, in Mississauga at 700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, and in Barrie at 112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4. Texture and colour read differently across a full floor, so we recommend seeing a sample first.
