COREtec Floors Originals Enhanced CR501 Vinyl Plank Flooring

COREtec Floors Originals Enhanced CR501 is luxury vinyl plank with a rigid WPC core, 100% waterproof, a 22 mil wear layer, carried and installed by Squarefoot Flooring. See it at our Mississauga and Barrie showrooms, or browse online.

Vinyl has quietly become the floor of choice for kitchens, basements, and busy households, and for one simple reason: water does not bother it.

In simple terms: COREtec Floors Originals Enhanced CR501 is luxury vinyl plank, a wood-look floor that is 100% waterproof and built to take real-life traffic. It is WPC, Squarefoot Flooring carries it and our own crew installs it.

The build and the spec: WPC means a wood-polymer composite core. It keeps the stability of rigid vinyl but adds a bit of cushion, so it is warmer and quieter underfoot than a stone core, which people notice most in kitchens and family rooms. The 22 mil wear layer puts it in heavy-residential, light-commercial territory, which is where vinyl earns its keep in a family home. With vinyl, the mil rating tells you more about longevity than the overall thickness does. Water is a non-issue: it is 100% waterproof through the whole plank, which is what makes it the go-to for bathrooms, kitchens, and below-grade rooms. An attached acoustic underlayment cuts down sound transfer and adds a little underfoot comfort, and it saves a separate pad on install. Planks run up to 8 inches wide and 72 inches long, a wide-and-long format that reads like real wood. Painted micro-bevelled edges frame each plank and hide the seams. It is backed by a Lifetime residential and 10-year Medium commercial warranty. Colours in the range include Saffron Pecan, Honey Bronze Oak, Umber Pecan, Worn Leather Pecan, and Ivory Lace Pecan.

We install COREtec Floors Originals Enhanced CR501 with our own team, not subcontractors, across the GTA, Barrie, and Simcoe County. It floats over most existing hard floors once the base is flat and dry. Read how we work on the vinyl installation page, or see our projects.

Decision line: Originals Enhanced CR501 is the warmer, softer-feeling option, a good fit where comfort underfoot is worth a slightly thicker board.

Vinyl reads differently across a full floor than in a small sample, so it is worth seeing Originals Enhanced CR501 in person at either showroom.
