Olympia Tile Solid Black Polished Porcelain Tile 24" x 48"

Large tile means fewer grout lines to scrub, and a room reads bigger with them. Solid Black gives you that in 24" x 48".

In simple terms: Solid Black is a 24x48 porcelain tile for dry floors and walls, indoors.

It is the polished finish in Black from the Olympia Tile Solid range. The actual size is 23.62" x 47.24", or 60 x 120 cm.

It is 9 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The body is coloured to match the surface, so a chip shows less than it would on a white-body tile. It carries a High Plus commercial traffic rating, the top commercial rating listed. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself does not need sealing.

It suits living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, hallways away from the entry door, kitchen backsplashes, shower and bathroom walls, feature walls and busy commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over a smaller tile when you want fewer grout lines; pick smaller if the floor is out of level.

Each box holds 2 pieces and covers 15.49 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft living room floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

No outdoor rating is listed, so keep it indoors: no porches, patios or exterior walls. On a floor, keep the polished face out of showers and away from entry doors where wet boots come in, because it gets slick when wet.

In this size, Solid also comes in White. Black also comes in 1" x 3", 1" x 4" and 24" x 24".

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Olympia Tile Solid Black in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
