Olympia Tile Slate Montauk Black Natural Tile 12" x 12"

No two pieces of natural slate match, and that is the reason to buy it over a printed porcelain. Slate Montauk Black brings real stone, with the sealing and care that come with it.

In simple terms: Slate Montauk Black is a 12x12 slate tile for floors and walls, indoors.

It is the natural finish in Montauk Black from the Olympia Tile Slate range. The actual size is 11.81" x 11.81", or 30 x 30 cm.

It is rated for medium commercial traffic. This is natural stone, so shade and veining change from piece to piece. Seal it after install and clean it with a pH-neutral cleaner.

It suits kitchen floors, bathroom floors, hallways, basements and shower and bathroom walls. Pick it over a slate look porcelain if you want the real stone and are fine sealing it; pick the porcelain if you want no upkeep.

Each box holds 13 pieces and covers 12.59 sq ft, so a 40 sq ft bathroom floor takes 4 boxes, and that still leaves about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 9 boxes with the 10% extra included.

No outdoor rating is listed, so keep it indoors: no porches, patios or exterior walls.

In this size, the Slate range also comes in Black, California Gold, Copper, Indian Autumn and Multicolour Peacock. Montauk Black also comes in 12" x 24", 24" x 24" and 6" x 24".

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Olympia Tile Slate Montauk Black in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
