Olympia Tile Koru Apple Unglazed Porcelain Tile 8" x 48"

Large tile means fewer grout lines to scrub, and a room reads bigger with them. Koru Apple gives you that in 8" x 48".

In simple terms: Koru Apple is an 8x48 porcelain tile for floors and walls, indoors.

It is the unglazed finish in Apple from the Olympia Tile Koru range. The actual size is 7.87" x 47.24", or 20 x 120 cm.

The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The body is coloured to match the surface, so a chip shows less than it would on a white-body tile. It carries a High Plus commercial traffic rating, the top commercial rating listed. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself does not need sealing.

It suits open-plan floors, living areas, basements, shower and bathroom walls and busy commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over a smaller tile when you want fewer grout lines; pick smaller if the floor is out of level.

Each box holds 6 pieces and covers 15.5 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft kitchen floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

No outdoor rating is listed, so keep it indoors: no porches, patios or exterior walls.

Our own crews install it, so the people who measure the job are the people who answer for it. See Olympia Tile Koru Apple in person at our Mississauga showroom (700 Dundas St E, Unit 3-4, 905-277-2227) or our Barrie showroom (112 Saunders Rd, Units 1-4, 705-726-2272).
