Olympia Tile Himalaya Grey Polished Porcelain Rectified Tile 24" x 24"

Real marble etches, stains and needs sealing. Himalaya Grey Rectified gives you the marble look on porcelain that does not.

In simple terms: Himalaya Grey Rectified is a 24x24 marble look porcelain tile for dry floors and walls, indoors.

It is the polished finish in Grey from the Olympia Tile Himalaya range. The actual size is 23.62" x 23.62", or 60 x 60 cm.

It is 8.8 mm thick. The edges are rectified, so it can be set with a tight grout joint. The body is coloured to match the surface, so a chip shows less than it would on a white-body tile. It is rated for medium to high commercial traffic. Porcelain is fired dense, so it handles water, spills and daily foot traffic and the tile itself does not need sealing.

It suits living rooms, dining rooms and bedrooms, hallways away from the entry door, kitchen backsplashes, shower and bathroom walls, feature walls and busy commercial floors such as stores and offices. Pick it over real marble when you want the veining without sealing or etching.

Each box holds 4 pieces and covers 15.5 sq ft, so a 150 sq ft living room floor takes 10 boxes, or 11 boxes with about 10% extra for cuts and spares. For every 100 sq ft, plan on 8 boxes with the 10% extra included.

It is listed for outdoor use, but a polished face gets slick when wet, so we would not put it on a patio, steps or a pool deck. On a floor, keep the polished face out of showers and away from entry doors where wet boots come in, because it gets slick when wet.
