Midgley West Ghost Ivory Mosaic Tile 2"x2" Quadretti - Matte

Ghost Ivory at 2" x 2" comes on a mesh sheet, which is the only sensible way to tile a shower pan or wrap a curved wall. The matte face keeps some grip when it is wet and does not show every water mark, which is why it is the usual pick for a bathroom floor. Fired harder and denser than ceramic, porcelain copes with freeze and thaw as well, so a covered porch or a three season room is fair game. The colours in this line are not all rated the same: PEI runs 4 to 5 across them, so check the rating on the one you are actually buying before it goes anywhere busy. A box holds 3.88 sq ft, so a 100 sq ft floor works out at 29 boxes once you add the usual ten percent for cuts and the odd broken piece. There is far more grout per square foot here than with a big tile. Pick the grout colour deliberately, because it is half of what you will see. Have a look at it in Mississauga or Barrie before you order, ideally next to whatever it is going beside.
